THE MACHINERY
The Picker on the right of the carder is in the process of being set up. This is the first stage of fiber processing, opening up the fibers
The Carder aligns the fibers for spinning. It can go through this machine 2 to 5 times before going to the next step
The Spinning Frame spins the roving into singles, which are then plied together to make a finished yarn

The Roving Frame takes the fiber from the carder and sets a small amount of twist into the fiber so it will go through the spinner without breaking
